Advertising and Events
Advertising efforts emphasize the high-fashion imagery that the tenant mix provides. Whimsy, emotionally-charged photography drives the creative and a maximum reach for each advertising dollar spent is the strategy behind placement. Outdoor billboards, fashion magazines and the Westside Weekly edition of the LA Times compose the media mix. Publicity opportunities also abound with a number of the major network television studios in Westside?s immediate neighborhood.
Annual events like the Night of Delight (wine and food sampling) and the Schools Rule Awards Ceremony reinforce Westside?s participation in the community. At the same time, new corporately-supported promotional events increase traffic and sales to the mall throughout key retail periods.
In addition to its fashion conscious clientele, Westside Pavilion shoppers are also family-oriented. Our monthly Kid?s Club performances draw a consistent crowd of 300 to 500 parents and children. The Westside Walker program also supports our family element by engaging seniors in health and nutrition awareness with a bi-weekly walking regimen.
Westside Pavilion enjoys a market that demonstrates a strong sense of ownership of the center. Community involvement with homeowner?s associations, the West LA Chamber and area non-profit organizations is constant and keeps our most crucial customers personally involved in our efforts. Additionally, in 2000, Westside underwent a $10 million cosmetic renovation that included new German limestone tile flooring, new lighting, soft seating areas, new paint and glass railings, that refreshed and revitalized the common area environment.
